Successful Completion of the Lecture Cycle within the Jean Monnet Module „Environmental protection in the European Union”
As part of the Jean Monnet module entitled "European sustainable values in Environmental and Agricultural policy (EUVALUESEAP)", which is supported by the European Commission and the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA), held from April to May 2025, the first cycle of the course "Environmental protection in the European Union" was successfully implemented at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad.
Within the course, students were introduced to the fundamental values of the European Union, as well as the most important legal regulations of the European Union in the field of environmental protection and combating climate change. The right to a healthy environment is one of the basic human rights protected by European Union regulations. Students had the opportunity to become familiar with various sources of European Union law that contain relevant rules on environmental protection. They were also introduced to the practice of the EU Court of Justice in the field of environmental protection. The course served as an opportunity to examine the major problems and challenges Europe faces concerning environmental protection and the fight against climate change.
Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge through a student debate "European sustainable values in the field of environment and agriculture: transfer of good practices".This integrated approach to teaching confirmed the importance of the Jean Monnet module in strengthening the knowledge, skills and competences of students in the field of European values in environmental protection policy in the European Union.
