Course 1: “Sustainable agriculture and agro-environmental policies in the European Union”

  2. Sustainable agriculture and sustainable development of rural areas in the European Union - 2 hours
  3. Agro-environmental policies for the sustainable development of rural areas and agriculture in the European Union - 2 hours
  4. EU Rural Development Programmes, development of agri-environmental measures in the European Union, main schemes and dimensions of agri-environmental measures - 2 hours
  5. The role of rural advisory services in supporting the sustainable development of rural areas and agriculture in the European Union - 2 hours
  6. The agricultural knowledge and innovation systems in facilitating the sustainable development of rural areas and agriculture in the European Union - 2 hours
  7. Harmonization of legislation of Republic of Serbia with the acquis in the Chapter 11 - Agriculture and rural development - 2 hours

Course 1: “Climate change and agriculture: EU strategies to mitigate the negative effects of climate change in agriculture”

  2. Policies and strategies for adaptation of agricultural holdings to climate change in the EU (Overview of key EU policies related to climate change; Financial support and subsidies for farmers; Innovations in agriculture to increase resilience to climate change; EU support programs for farmers in the fight against climate change ) - 4 hours
  3. Education of farmers for the sustainable development and ther sustainable agriculture systems in the EU as a strategy for responsible management of climate change - 2 hours
  4. EU economic instruments for the reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG) from agriculture and forestry - 2 hours
  5. Contribution of the sustainable EU practices to competitiveness and adaptability to climate change of the agricultural holdings - 2 hours
  6. Solving environmental problems at the EU level: waste management and recycling as a way to prevent the negative consequences of climate change - 2 hours
  7. Coverage of agroecological principles and EU instruments in the strategy and policy of rural and agrarian development of the Republic of Serbia as a response to climate change - 2 hours

Course 2: “Environmental policy of the European Union”

  1. The history, goals and principles of the development of the Environmental policy of the European Union - 2 hours
  2. Mechanisms, measures and instruments of the Environmental policy of the European Union - 2 hours
  3. Basic competences of the EU institutions in the field of environmental policy of the European Union. European Environment Agency and the environmental policy of the European Union - 2 hours
  4. The main policy instruments on air pollution within the EU - 2 hours
  5. EU waste management policies, water quality policies - 2 hours
  6. Sustainable development goals of the EU. EU strategies for environmental protection. European Green Plan. EU environmental strategies, the biodiversity strategy for 2030, the farm-to-fork strategy - 2 hours
  7. Harmonization of legislation of Republic of Serbia with the acquis in the Chapter 27 Environment and Climate Change - 2 hours
  8. Environmental policy of the Republic of Serbia and challenges of European integration - 2 hours

Course 2: “Sustainable EU practices as a strategy for preserving and improving the quality of natural resources” (total of 48 hours in three years)

  1. The quality of natural resources and their importance for the agriculture (soil, water, air, biodiversity, management of resources) - 3 hours
  2. Ecological and socio-economic effects of the growing trend of the global human population - 2 hours
  3. The impact of urbanization on the planned management of ecological resources in the EU - 2 hours
  4. Sustainable practices in EU agriculture as a strategy to conserve natural resources - 3 hours
  5. Air quality management as a basic resource of crop production: EU experiences - 2 hours
  6. Ecologically responsible land management in the modern farm production in the EU - 2 hours
  7. Ecologically responsible management of the water resources in the EU agriculture - 2 hours

Course 2: “Harmonisation of Serbian law with the EU acquis in the field of environmental protection” (total of 48 hours in three years)

  8. Human rights and environment: jurisprudence of the European court of human rights - 2 hours
